Help Laz and Benjamin keep their home

Hi,

I'm Laz, a 23-year-old student living in Amsterdam with my cat Benjamin. I've been having trouble paying rent for the past six months and have accumulated a hefty debt that I can't pay with my current income. Getting a job with my current study schedule has proven to be an incredible pain, though I haven't given up on applying for any new positions.

Currently, I live off a student loan of about 800 per month and "Huurtoeslag", which amounts to about 199 per month. I have also tried reasoning with the landlord to get some arrangement or payment plan, but they outright denied my proposition with no counteroffer from their side. They advised me to cancel the rent, which I would have done if I had any other place to go. Sadly, I do not. I can't go back to family, and I can't bring my cat to stay with friends for such a period, nor would I want to burden them with storing me and my stuff.
