Layton’s medical bills
Donation protected
Hi, we are fundraising for our friend’s 10-year-old son, Layton. We haven’t done a Go Fund Me page before but we are going to give it our best shot for this incredible little lad and his family!
The Stone family set off on 28th August for what was meant to be a happy family holiday. Shortly after landing, Layton started feeling unwell. His parents took him to the hospital and after a blood test, the family received the devastating news: Layton has been diagnosed with leukemia.
Layton is now undergoing chemotherapy in a hospital in Cyprus and due to his treatment, he isn’t able to return to the UK for at least a month. While the Greek medical team have been incredible, not all of the treatments are guaranteed to be covered under the GHIC card, leaving the family with unexpected financial burdens.
We are aiming to raise £5,000 to support Layton’s treatment abroad and help the Stone family with costs to bring him safely back home when he’s well enough and the Greek doctors allow it. He will then be under the care of Manchester Children’s hospital for the foreseeable future.
Layton is a fabulous lad! Full of fun, very bright and loves playing football for Wyrsedale FC and BWFC Development. More than anything, he just wants to get back on the pitch, doing what he loves most with his team and his big brother Caleb.
Duncan and Leah are not the type of people who would ever ask for help, but in this situation, they truly need all the help and support we can give.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page with others who might be able to help.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
