My mother lived a difficult life. She struggled daily to do the simple things like feed herself and do her laundry. End of life planning was the last thing on her mind, so when she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, we were unprepared.

It was always just my mother and I, and her last month was the same. She went on hospice care in her home and I moved in. Between moving in, caring for her, finding out the plumbing was bad and going to cost ~$2500, I just was not able to plan for her impending death.

My mother passed on 5/16 and was laid to rest on 5/23.

Thankfully I had family to loan me the money for the burial, but that money needs paid back.

The plumbing is an ever-worsening issue, the house needs many repairs, and I am about to go into probate. I am trying to raise the money just to pay back my family and to be able to focus my efforts on the other pressing issues.
