Family and Friends! Our Layla, who is now 12 years old, auditioned for Alvin Ailey and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy Summer Intensive Programs. Fantastic News! Once again, Layla earned a spot at BOTH summer programs! Thank you to all who donated last summer for her Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive 2017. We are forever grateful!
Indeed, this is a HUGE honor and opportunity for her personal growth and development as a pre-professional dancer. Drumroll please...she has chosen to attend Debbie Allen Dance Academy's Four Week Summer Dance Intensive in Los Angeles, California June 30-July 30, 2018!
Layla fell in love with dance when she was only two years old at the Academy of the Arts. She continues to learn and train with amazing instructors four-five days per week in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop and more. Layla captures every opportunity to attend master choreographer classes and dance conventions as well. She earns top awards at multiple dance competitions, performs at various community events, and has performed as an NBA Atlanta Hawks and WNBA Atlanta Dream Jr. Cheerleader throughout the years. Moreover, Layla is an A/B honor roll student at Dekalb Elementary School of the Arts. She is focused, driven, determined, and dedicated in all her endeavors.
Now, Layla is seeking YOUR financial support to ensure her dream comes alive to be trained by the world-renowned Mrs. Debbie Allen and her prominent dance instructors in Los Angeles!
We are raising funds to help pay for a portion of tuition, housing, food and airfare transportation. Our deadline is fastly approaching this month!
