Hi, My name is Dalilah and unfortunately on August 25, 2023 my daugher Layla was diagnosed with Leukemia. We are currently in the hospital due to infection. She had emergency surgery and was in ICU. Through all this I have had to work from home (doctors orders) so that I did not bring any sicknesses home to Layla but I was fired on Sept 25 while Layla was in surgery. I explained to them time and time again how crucial it was for me to be at home with Layla because she could start to decline at any moment. Even with it happening on Sept 14 where we had to rush to the hospital so she did not go into sepsis. But it was not enough to keep my job. It is so unfortunate given that we do have bills as everyone does and I also have another child to care for. I really did not want to make this and tried so hard to find other ways to fundraise money but now the time that I tried to avoid has come and I have to ask others for help. You can support as much or as little as you can. Anything is appreciated. I know we have God in our corner and we will get through this war but we have to fight it one battle at a time.
