Hello! My name is Blake Murray. I’m 34, an avid lond distance runner, and a cat dad of two. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A few of my interests include hiking, swimming, rock climbing, and cooking/baking.

Both of my cats, Slim and Layla, are my world. They’re my son and daughter, and I make sure they live their best possible lives.

Last week, Layla went to use the litter box and was showing clear signs of pain and discomfort. After taking her to the vet, they told me she has partial intestinal blockage due to hypercalcemia.

Fortunately, the surgery is not as invasive and has a shorter recovery time than full intestinal blockage. Unfortunately, it will cost a lot, at least for me.

Between living by myself in a 2 bed/bath apartment and working a full-time job and a half, I have very little time in terms of finding options in raising enough funds to cover this crucial expense. But, I would do anything for Layla, so it brought me here.
