Layla’s Cancer Treatment

Layla is a 6.5 year old, 160 lb Great Dane. I have had her since she was 3 months old & she is my best friend. On Wednesday 10/24/18, Layla had trouble getting into my SUV.  Within 6 hours, she had a mass on her front right leg & was limping. I immediately took her to the vet & spent the next 6 hours there while the vet ran tests. It was her belief Layla had Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Fast forward to today 10/29/18, I met with an oncologist who ran even more tests & agreed with the diagnosis of osteosarcoma. The oncologist has recommended immediate amputation of the limb followed by 6 rounds of chemo therapy. This is a painful bone cancer with no cure. If I do nothing, Layla has 1-3 months to live. With amputation alone about 4.5 months to live. With amputation & chemo combined about 9 months-2 years.
I have already spent $1800 on the vet visit & oncologist consult & tests. The amputation is estimated to cost $5,000-6,000 and chemo $3,000-4,000.  I simply cannot afford this on my own & am asking for help. Please help me get as much time as possible with my fur baby!
