Layla Pup’s Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Hi friends, my name is Katie Biggs. If you know me, you must know my sweet pup, Layla. I adopted her from the Conway Area Humane Society here in North Conway, NH, eight years ago, and she has been my best friend and adventure buddy ever since. Layla is happiest when with her friends (both four-legged and two), running after a frisbee, swimming in a river, or leading the way on a hike. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to do these things for quite some time due to a progressive injury. She has torn ligaments in her right hind leg, causing a lot of pain- it's so bad that she can't even walk on that leg anymore, let alone go on a short walk. It's my job to give my sweet girl the best life possible, and for Layla, that means being able to go for walks and run again. So here we are, preparing for her big TPLO surgery that will end up costing over $6,000. The doctor will cut off a portion of her tibia bone, shape it, rotate it, and reattach it with screws. It will be a long recovery process, lasting 4-6 months. But by next spring, she should be back up and running again, smiling from ear to furry ear.
I was hesitant to start this fundraiser and ask for help. I know times are tough for many. But after much consideration (thank you for the support, Maiglin!), I have decided that this is a nice, no-pressure way to ask for help if any friends are able and willing to give it. Any amount helps, and it will all go to Layla's surgery. I appreciate every one of you reading this. Please know that if you cannot contribute financially, Layla happily accepts loving vibes and good energy for a successful surgery and recovery. Love, love, love to you all.
