Layla Goes To Clown School
Donation protected
Hi, Everyone!
Thanks for tuning in to this episode of Layla's wacky life. My jewish grandfather would tell me, "Layla, I never cared for Halloween. I always thought it taught children to be beggars." I would nervously laugh and try to hide my Halloween shirts and tattoos and absolutely ask for nothing but his love and the stories of my family. I can say with confidence today that this is not begging but simply THE ART OF ASKING and my jewish guilt subsides. Take that grandpa! Come one, come all to Layla's round up for clown school. My journey began with many years working in haunted attractions. The shear joy of providing entertainment and a smile to another person was more than enough motivation to volunteer my time. Upon moving to San Francisco I have felt more and more led to wanting to explore the arts and continuing my growth in physical comedy. I was approached last year and accepted into the Clown Conservatory program here in San Fransisco's Circus Center. Unfortunately, I was not financially ready and put my pursuit on hold to save some dollars. The time has come where school is only a few short weeks away and while I am more prepared than last year I still live in one of the most expensive cities in the country. If any of my wonderful friends, family, or possibly kind strangers feel an overwhelming desire to contribute to my journey in the arts I can reassure your donation will be taken with my utmost gratitude.
I am excited to what the future holds and with any donations I can feel a bit more calmly about drastically cutting my work hours. Donations with help go to tuition and the cost of living (EX; Rent, Food ....). The Clown Conservatory will be opening many doors for me with establishing new relationships and career opportunities. I appreciate your time and consideration while I take flight on my clown journey.
