Devastated. It is the only way to describe what our family is feeling, due to the loss our little sister, Bethany. Jen and I were going though the adoption process to welcome Bethany into our crazy-big family. Today was supposed to be a special day; the day we would bring Bethany home. Sadly, now we are planning her funeral.
Bethany was beautiful, bright and amazing. She was happy, with so much life and personality.
Even though she was unable to speak with words, you could still understand everything she wanted to tell you. Our Bethany loved to sing, dance, color and draw, and ooh boy did she have her daddy’s artistic talent!
Bethany’s shining personality made her unforgettable to anyone that met her. Her nurses and doctors became like family. Those that knew her had to be prepared to be “zapped” by one of her fireballs, or with a motion of her little finger, she would command you to spin around for her. She was a magical free sprit, with so much more life to live.
Bethany was the light in the dark, the sun on a cloudy day and we would like to give our sweet princess the proper burial that she deserves. Unfortunately, since her passing was so sudden and totally unexpected, we will need some help to make this happen for our sweet Bethany.
If you can, we ask that you find it in your heart to contribute to her service. Any amount will help, and is greatly appreciated.
With our love and gratitude,
Steven and Jennifer Alaniz
