On February 18th at 9:00 pm, my son Andre R. Mendez was taken from this life in a very cruel, unnecessary overuse of force. It's very hard to even express how my heart is shattered into so many different shards. However, at this time, I must ask for your help to lay him to rest in a proper and befitting manner. He was a son, father, brother, grandson, cousin, uncle, nephew, and Godson that was larger than life, loved by many. He will live on in all of our hearts and minds.
