As I write this, I’m asking for help to lay my baby sister, Jina, to rest — only 38 years old, taken from us in a tragic car accident. Our hearts are shattered. This loss comes just 10 months after we buried our mother, and now it’s hitting us right in the middle of the holiday season — a time that’s supposed to bring warmth, family, and togetherness. Instead, we’re facing an empty seat, a missing laugh, and a pain we can barely put into words.

Jina had no life insurance, and this tragedy hit us with no warning and no time to prepare. She leaves behind so much this holiday season — her children, her grandbabies , siblings, friends, and everyone who depended on her love, her strength, and her presence. The people who needed her most are now spending the holidays grieving a loss they’ll never fully understand.

If you knew Jina, you know she was the one who always tried to make things brighter. She was a loving daughter, a beautiful soul, a proud grandmother, a devoted mother, a sister who showed up for everyone, an aunt, and a friend who would give the shirt off her back. She helped anyone she could, no questions asked.

Now, during a season when families come together, ours is trying to pull together what we can to give her the peace, dignity, and farewell she deserves. With everything she leaves behind, we are carrying not only the heartbreak of her passing but the weight of honoring her properly while navigating one of the hardest times of the year.
