**Update**

I wanted to give a quick update as to what is going on. I have used a good portion of the donations that have come in to get a lot of things fixed on my car so that I could get back on the road and get some income coming in. I was saving what was left and adding to it as much as I could in order to get the AC in my car fixed. I have been looking into getting a debt consolidation loan to help me get back on my feet and be more stable. I wasn't liking any of the offers so I backed off of looking. Then I got an email, with the perfect offer. Long story short it ended up being a scam that I have been dealing with the fallout from all week. I feel gullible and like a fool. In the end, I will likely lose $1300, more than half-

way to getting my AC fixed. The temperatures are rising and the time of day it is too hot to Uber without AC is growing.

Hello; My name is Chris McCormick. I suppose like most people I never thought I would be doing this but here I am, laying it all on the line and asking for help.

The last two years have been very trying. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, my finances have been devastated. I have been driving Uber since losing my job at the beginning of Covid. It has been a rollercoaster but things were beginning to look up. It was getting busy again and I had my sights on getting myself back up on my feet.

Then the AC in my car went out, it needs a new compressor. Ok, I worked around the warmer times of the day. I got up early then stopped by noon when it got too hot, then returned to driving at 6 in the evening. I was working as much as I could to save money to have the AC fixed.

Earlier this week I woke up at the crack of dawn and headed out to pick up a reservation when my transmission started going out. I turned around and came straight home after canceling the reservation. I didn't have all of my rent together yet so the little I had saved to fix my AC went to pay my rent.

I have gone through my savings and my account is now empty after paying rent. I am looking at about a $5,000 repair bill to have both issues fixed. I need to get back on the road as soon as possible to take advantage of the busiest time of year. So here I am. Asking the world for a hand-up. Your assistance will mean the world to me and I will be eternally grateful. This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done.
