To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, Gabriel Ramirez went to sleep Tuesday evening, and never woke up again.
One in a million - that is our Gabriel. Our heads are spinning, our hearts are broken. There aren't enough words for a fitting tribute. Full of life and love! It's all true, he was kind, sweet, generous, a hard worker, the best friend, a smart ass, a true gentleman, an old soul, lover of life! He'd do anything for anyone, and give anyone the shirt off his back. He was a light for so many people, and touched an incredible amount of people in his short years. A selfless individual, we were all blessed in knowing him! We have lost a precious gem in Gabriel Ramirez.
Memorial plans are still being arranged, and any updates regarding locations and times will be posted here.
What has happened is beyond comprehension and we are all still in shock. Understandably Gabe's family is under enough stress, so with their permission, we have set up this GoFundMe account to help with the many expenses involved, and all money raised will be going directly to them.
At this time, there are no answers from anyone as to why he didn't wake up. Medical professionals can provide no reason as to why this occurred, and the family is covering the cost of an autopsy to get answers. There are many expenses involved in this process, and as a final tribute to Gabe who gave so much to all of us, we hope to give back by helping his family during this time.
Others have asked how to help, so this campaign has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with plans, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left.
