My name is Kayla and I am raising funds to help lay my brother, Elton, to rest.

My brother passed away on December 29, 2025. His life was taken in an unsettling way and has left our family emotionally overwhelmed and heartbroken. Elton was murdered. He would have turned 30 years old on January 11, 2026.

Elton was gentle. He was sweet, loving, and the most selfless person I knew. He was my first best friend and protector. He was kind to everyone he crossed paths with and always made the best of any hardship he faced, which were far too many. Elton was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and depressive bipolar disorder when he was 19 years old. He was doing well and receiving treatment up until 2020 when the pandemic hit. He had spent the last 4 years in and out of institutions and jail, while also experiencing homelessness. His circumstances made life extremely difficult to live, but he persevered anyways. I am proud of him and will miss him more than he knows. He was a beautiful son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend.

As our family mourns his death, we are asking for prayer and support to help relieve some of the financial burdens related to funeral and memorial arrangements. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and prayer for our family is equally valued and appreciated.
