Today, our family is grieving the loss of our father, Donald Ray Ivey, who passed away at the age of 72. He was a father, a brother, a son, and someone who mattered deeply to more people than he probably ever realized. His absence is heavy, and our hearts are broken.
My dad’s life was not an easy one. He carried pain, made mistakes, and walked through seasons of struggle. Like many of us, his relationship with God was deeply personal and shaped by life’s hardships. But in the end, something beautiful happened. In his final days, he found his way back to Jesus. He opened his heart again, surrendered what he could no longer carry, and found peace. That peace means everything to us. It brings us comfort to know he is no longer suffering, no longer fighting, and is now fully at peace in the presence of the Lord, healed, forgiven, and home.
The Bible tells us:
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die.”
— John 11:25
As we mourn this loss, our family is also facing the unexpected financial burden that comes with funeral and burial expenses. We are humbly asking for help to lay my dad to rest with dignity, love, and respect.
We are asking family, friends, and anyone who feels led, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ, to help us during this painful time. Any amount helps, whether through a donation, prayer, or sharing this fundraiser.
Thank you for your compassion, your prayers, and your support during this difficult season. May God bless you.
