Laying Deane Hansen to Rest

My name is Erika Hansen. I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of me and my sister, Alexandra Hansen. Tragically, on December 27th, 2022, our father Deane Lee Hansen took his own life. Our dad battled mental health issues for nearly 20 years before finally succumbing to his illness. Before he became sick, he had a powerful and bright presence that could be felt in any room. His smile was infectious, and he was loved by many. Before our dad passed away, he had been struggling immensely and found himself homeless and indigent. As Deane had no other surviving family, my sister and I, ages 24 and 22, are solely responsible for the financial burden that comes with a tragedy such as this. The traumatic matter of Deane’s death has already had a devastating impact on us emotionally and mentally. Donations of any amount towards our father’s interment and celebration of life would be greatly appreciated. As recent college graduates, it would help lighten the burden for us as we do not have sufficient means to provide him with a respectful resting place. Any funds exceeding funeral costs will be put towards a donation in his name to Valley Hope of Parker. Donations, thoughts, and prayers are greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
