Hi everyone, my name is Bethany. It is with a broken heart that I share baby Melody was born sleeping. I created this to help my brother Justin and Liz our family during this incredibly difficult time. Liz and Justin were expecting their baby girl Melody, they were both excited to become first-time parents. With the due date only a few weeks away, everyone anxiously awaited the birth of baby Melody. On September 30th, at about 1 a.m., Liz felt contractions become more intense and painful, so she knew it was time for baby Melody to make her arrival. She called Justin & rushed to the hospital, both thrilled at the thought of meeting and holding their baby girl. During the intake ultrasound, it was discovered that baby Melody no longer had a heartbeat. Our hearts were completely shattered. What was supposed to be the most exciting and joyful time shortly became a nightmare. The hospital explained that Liz would still have to go through labor and give birth to her baby, Liz remained strong but still very scared. At 10:48 a.m., a beautiful sleeping baby was born, Melody Gabriela Rocha Hernandez. She was beautiful with dark brown curly hair and deeply loved by so many already. Sadly, now they are left with the task of arranging baby melody’s funeral. We are all devastated by this tragic loss.

No one is ever prepared to be robbed of something so precious.
