On Wednesday, November 12th, our mom, Antonia E. Henriquez, unexpectedly passed away. Mami was funny, strong, and headstrong, too! She loved deeply and always went out of her way to show up for others. Mami spoke her mind; she’d tell you what was what, and then continue on with a laugh. Mami has gone through so much these past couple of years, both with the passing of our dad, Ramon D. Henriquez, and her mom, Elvira Reyes, as well as her health struggles, but she made the most of every day she had. She laughed, she danced, she shopped (her favorite), spent time with good friends and beloved family, and she did it up in the best ways that she knew how. We are forever in awe of her strength and her commitment to live a full life, despite the challenges she faced, and are comforted by the fact that she is finally able to rest with Papi and Abuela. El miércoles 12 de noviembre, nuestra mamá, Antonia E. Henriquez, falleció inesperadamente. ¡Mami era divertida, fuerte y también muy decidida! Amaba profundamente y siempre se desvivía por los demás. Mami era directa; te decía las cosas como eran y luego seguía con una sonrisa. Mami pasó por mucho estos últimos años, tanto con el fallecimiento de nuestro papá, Ramón D. Henriquez, como con el de su mamá, Elvira Reyes, además de sus problemas de salud, pero aprovechó al máximo cada día. Reía, bailaba, iba de compras (su actividad favorita), pasaba tiempo con buenos amigos y su querida familia, y lo hacía todo a su manera. Siempre admiraremos su fortaleza y su compromiso de vivir una vida plena, a pesar de las dificultades que enfrentó, y nos consuela saber que finalmente descansa junto a Papi y Abuela. Por favor, consideren hacer una donación para apoyarnos a mis hermanas y a mí mientras seguimos afrontando este difícil momento y los costos financieros que conlleva darle el último adiós a Mami y seguir adelante sin ella aquí con nosotras.
