Laya’s Family Fund

As many of you know, we lost our brother Rashad Barnes  “8.15.12” when he was senseless murdered in broad daylight. His death hit our family hard and since then has truly taken it’s toll on our family. My sister Laya wanted a fresh start to reset her energy/life. She recently relocated to Georgia to give her my niece and nephews a fresh start at a better life.
Things were looking brighter for her and the kids: but then tragedy struck again literally when lightning struck her home on her birthday “6.18.19”.  Leaving her with extreme damages and unsafe conditions both physically and financially for her and the kids. The good news was that nobody was home at the time, the bad news is that the home was a complete loss. All while they’re in a new city and found themselves in a shelter with no family and few friends. Just as Laya began to put the pieces back together and get her family out of the shelter, tragedy has struck again. Laya’s dad was found dead yesterday afternoon “7.20.19”. Still unsure of the cause, we are trying to raise some funds to bring Laya and the kids back home to attend the services. With all the recent expenses, it’s impossible for her to make the trip without some help. With a little help and lots of love and uplifting energy, we will get her through this.
