Message from Layan

Hello ❤ dear donors,

I am Layan, a 10-year-old girl, who dreams of having a life like other children. I would like to share with you the story of my family, one by one.

Beginning of Our Story

My Palestinian family from Gaza consists of eight members, and we have suffered greatly since the war began on October 7th. We were displaced from our home, searching for safety in the north, where we settled in a small tent lacking basic necessities. Our lives changed from happiness to pain and suffering.

My Father's Story

My father is the hero of our family; he spent his life raising us and teaching us. He filled us with hope and ambition, but now he spends most of his time caring for patients in the neighborhood and the nearby hospital. The difficult conditions due to the war have greatly affected him, and he feels helpless under the heavy burdens he carries.

Mohammed's Story

My brother Mohammed, who is 27 years old, was an experienced mathematics teacher. He had a dream of obtaining a PhD, but the war destroyed his ambitions and dreams. His feelings of loss and despair have increased over time.

My Sister Asmaa's Story

My sister Asmaa is a newly graduated doctor. Her dream was to find a job to serve her country, but this dream has completely vanished due to the war. However, she did not give up; she goes to the hospital every day to help patients and the injured voluntarily, hoping to provide aid to those in need.

Alaa's Story

My sister Alaa, a recent graduate in business management, was always an outstanding student. She was seeking a good job, but the war turned her life upside down. Her dream of being a prominent figure in society has faded amid the destruction.

Abdullah's Story

My brother Abdullah is an ambitious student who seeks to become an engineer in information systems. He spends his days searching for water for daily use and feels hopeless as the difficulties around him increase.
