Lay Steven Horowitz to rest with dignity & love

We are trying to collect some funds to lay Steven Horowitz to rest with dignity and give him a respectful and loving memorial service. I was so pained to hear of his passing. I was so sad to hear that his body is still at the medical examiner’s office and will go to Potter’s field if no one steps up. That just doesn’t feel right and I am creating this fundraiser to honor Steven and lay him to rest with some dignity. We called the medical examiner and got an extension so if we gather enough funds we can make this happen.

I grew up with Steven in Canarsie. My mom was good friends with his mom, Claire and his Grandmother, Jenny. Although he was older than me, my brothers were good friends and Steven was a common face at my house back in the day in Canarsie. Many great times were had with him and his mom Claire.

I know Steven struggled in life and he had his demons but he was always happy to see you and greeted you with a big hug and a smile asking how you been.
