Help Us Bring Shoaib Kochay Home
My name is Abdul, and I’m raising funds on behalf of my dear friend, Shoaib Kochay, who tragically passed away in a hit-and-run incident. Shoaib was more than a friend—he was a kind soul, a brother to many of us, and someone who carried his heart with sincerity and humility.
We are now trying to fulfill one final act of love for him: to send his body back to his home country, Afghanistan, to be reunited with his grieving mother and father—and to give him a proper burial, surrounded by his family and the land he came from.
This fundraiser means the world to us. His parents are devastated, and the least we can do is help them see their son one last time. It’s our duty, not just culturally, but morally and spiritually, to help lay Shoaib to rest with dignity.
“Whoever saves one life, it is as if he had saved all of mankind.”
— Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5:32
And in another verse, Allah reminds us:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains.”
— Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:261
How the Funds Will Be Used:
• Repatriation of Shoaib’s body to Afghanistan
• Funeral and burial costs in his home village
• Any remaining funds will go directly to his family to support them through this unimaginable loss
No contribution is too small. And even if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this with others. Every bit of help brings Shoaib closer to home.
May Allah grant him peace and Jannah, and reward you all for your kindness and support.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan,
Abdul
