Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to read this! My dad is in the final stages of life, he’s been fighting a rare form of cancer for two years and his body is finally giving up. The decline has been very rapid and we didn’t see it coming. My mom has been by his side as his nurse, wife and advocate since day one. With out her, he never would have gotten the treatments through the VA that have kept him with us for so long. My parents are on a very fixed income, and financially i’ve given all I can thus far. I still have to be mindful of flights for ruby and I to say goodbye (which we have planned) and to lay my dad to rest. The expense that is weighing on my ma right now is the cremation. My dad doesn’t want a service, only to get his flag ceremony for serving in the Navy. This is the cost for him to be put in a Veteran Cemetery. If anything extra is raised, it will go to medical bills and utilities so that my mom can get settled in again. 

If you would can donate anything, we would be forever grateful. My ma doesn’t know that i’ve started this on her behalf, so please don’t tell her.  She struggles with asking for help and feeling guilty. I want to make this as easy as possible for her, as she walks the love of her life to the other side.  If you can’t, donate a hug my way, my dad is one of the most important humans in my life, Ruby and I are going to be lost with out him.
