Lay our family to rest
Hello to all our friends, family, and anyone who holds love in their heart. My name is Mia and I'd like to thank you in advance for spending the time to read this as well as remind you to cherish your loved ones and create safety procedures for you and your family to escape emergency situations. Always check your carbon monoxide detectors and fire alarms. Keep your family safe and make memories. Capture as many as you can. I love you all.
As many may know, on August 17th there was a devastating 3 alarm fire that destroyed an apartment complex in Tukwila, WA . In that fire, 30+ families lost everything and were escaping a burning building at 5 in the morning. 3 lives however, were less fortunate. 3 were lost and many families are feeling that hurt right now.
Robert (Bear) Sellem, Ali Chalcraft and their beautiful 3 year old boy, Elliott. May they rest in peace.
My family has recieved a huge out poor of love. Every ounce of love that my uncle Bear and his beloved family have given away has returned to us and let me tell you... it is overwhelming and beautiful. Many are asking how they can help or where to donate to. Your love and thoughts are always very welcomed and appreciated; we all know unexpected tragedy can be very stressful financially. No one is ever prepared to lay a loved one to rest , let alone 3. I've created this go fund me for my family to help as much as possible to cover any/all legal fees, cremation, celebration of life, etc. Any money that is not used will be donated to the 30+ families that have lost everything and are starting new. I encourage you to donate what you can and keep my family in your thoughts. Let it remind you to not take your own for granted. The family is taking time, so please be patient with us if we don't get back to you right away. We will post information on the celebration of life when we have all the details. Update on the service : "The memorial service for Ali, Elliott, and Bear will be Saturday, September 11, at 11am. Due to current restrictions with social distancing we ask that this is limited to direct family and friends- however the service will be available via Zoom for anyone who is not able to attend.
The service will be followed by an Open House style Celebration of their lives from 2:00-6:00pm, we would love to have everyone.
