My name is Litzi Mercado, and I never imagined I would have to write something like this. On February 9th, our family experienced a heartbreaking loss. My father-in-law tragically lost his life in a terrible fire. He was only 47 years old, with so much life still ahead of him. He had dreams, goals, and a beautiful family who loved him deeply.

He leaves behind his 10-year-old son, Luis Ernesto Pereira, along with my husband, his mother, his brothers, and so many loved ones who are now facing unimaginable pain. This loss has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

As many of us know, times are financially difficult for everyone. We are doing everything we can to support the family during this painful time, but the funeral expenses and unexpected costs are overwhelming.

We are humbly asking for any donations to help cover funeral costs and to support his 10-year-old son, who has his whole life ahead of him. His mother is a strong and loving woman, and we hope to help ease some of the financial stress she is carrying right now.
