Lay Lisa to rest after battle with leukemia
Donation protected
Proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit Lisa’s 7 year old sweet baby girl Karen and amazing husband Matt.
Lisa was diagnosed with leukemia two years ago when she went in to the doctor to simply check up on her pregnancy as she was expecting a baby boy. Unfortunately, at this appointment after reviewing blood work and tests she was told she had to start chemotherapy ASAP as her tests showed that she had AML leukemia. The doctors made the heart wrenching determination that the amount of chemotherapy necessary to treat Lisa would not allow her pregnancy to be viable. Filled with pain she fought with everything inside of her to live. She fought with so much grace and integrity, always keeping her faith all the way until the end. She was an inspiration to so many, more than she was even aware of. Loved by everyone she ever met. She has impacted so many lives and was always selflessly there for anyone in need despite battling her own fight. Lisa and her husband Matt fell in love when they were teenagers. They have been together for over 10 years. Matt has been continuously by Lisas side and had never given up hope. When Matt had to explain to her that her mom had gone to heaven, her words were “I want to go to church tomorrow and I’m not mad at God”. She started handing out tissues to all the adults and telling them “you aren’t allowed to cry, it’s going to be okay.” This shows the extraordinary personality and outstanding mother Lisa was to Karen. You can imagine the length of this struggle has had a financial burden on this family. All family and friends will be forever grateful for any and all donations supporting precious Karen and her father. To cover funeral costs, expenses, bills and Matt’s lost time off from work. May God bless you, keep you, shine His face upon you, and be gracious to you.
