My name is Hector and I have panic attacks.
I am a music teacher and performer.
My life partner, Kerry, has always been empathetic and overly kind. She cooks for the homeless and puts unwanted insects like spiders outside. She also has cognitive impairments and memory loss from an accident ten years ago.
I had a panic attack while interacting with local law enforcement and they arrested me.
Kerry sought to inform the officers of my mental health crisis so they decided to arrest her aswell.
The police then marched to her position and forcefully grabbed her 137lbs body and pinned her to the hood of their vehicle forcing their pelvics against her so hard she relieved herself.
Yes, the police pushed her against the vehicle so hard that she peed herself.
There is bruising on her abdomen that correlates to the injury and we went to the hospital to document and treat all injuries.
The attorney fees are high as we are using the attorney to defend the charges against her and I. She is adamant about seeking restitution but she is also expressing severe shame (victim's remorse) and fears police retaliation if restitution is saught.

Kerry's Representation:
$5,000 Non Refundable Fee (due prior to the resolution of the case)
+ $2,000 possible additional fees
Hector's Representation:
$5,000 Non Refundable Fee (due prior to the resolution of the case)
+ $2,000 possible additional fees
Plus Related Misc. Expenses incurred throughout litigation.
This brings the possible total Legal Fees to be an estimated $22,000
I need any help, this has been a very physically and psychologically painful experience.
I'm concerned for her and I put myself second when it comes to resources allocation. I've invested everything I have into this, but I'm just a musician, barly able to pay rent. I even started going to the food bank to use all posible available funds to pay our attorney. She shouldn't've been harmed because of my mental health.
I turned to go-fund-me because an Imgur user suggested I create a fundraiser. I didn't know where else to turn in these moments so I made a post.
And a follow-up post containing video of Kerry expressing that she relieved herself to the officers and proceed to ignore the statement.
I appreciate and am very greatful for any help durring these extremely difficult time. Kerry and I only have a short window of time to do this correctly.
