Prior to the CBSD School Board meeting on 8/25/21 an anonymous group of parents retained an education law firm to represent children in our district. 

Since the CBSD school board did not pass the excellent proposed health and safety plan following the CDC and AAP guidance, a lawsuit will be moving forward very quickly, ideally before school starts, where the case will go to court. The process has already been started and the law firm is ready to move forward with urgency and speed.

The case will be taken in front of a judge, hopefully Friday 8/27/21 and the judge has the ability to require CBSD to comply with a Health and Safety Plan consistent with the CDC and AAP guidelines and would put this into place immediately, should we win the case, of course.   

We understand this is unprecedented territory and appreciate anything you are able to donate to help promote the safety of all of our children in CBSD.

The funds donated here will be withdrawn and given directly to law firm representing the families for retainer.
