Many individuals within Winchester, Frederick County, and Shenandoah were upset when the city council decided to ban firearms within certain public buildings, sidewalks, and parks in February. Being a gun owner, I know that we are not the problem when it comes to gun violence within the city and countrywide. The criminals that are not going to follow this ordinance anyway are the ones that benefit from this ordinance. This ordinance ensures that citizens cannot protect themselves from any crime to themselves or personal property.

I have spoken multiple times within Frederick County, Winchester city, Shenandoah county, and other localities, speaking out against these new gun laws within Virginia. I personally wrote up the legislation for Winchester to become a 2nd amendment sanctuary city, following the lead of multiple localities around the state fighting against these unconstitutional laws.

However, since Winchester went ahead and passed this ordinance in a 7-2 vote, I went ahead and started making plans to fight this legislation.

There is a similar case currently going on in Fairfax County, LaFave v. Fairfax county, which is fighting their version of the same ordinance, and that is what I am attempting to do for Winchester. I have been working with Ambler Law Offices in Winchester to file a lawsuit against this ordinance. Since we are looking at long-term litigation against this ordinance, that is where YOU can help out.

We are in this fight for the long-haul, and because of that, I will need help raising funds. Every bit of money raised by this campaign will go into fighting this ordinance; retainer fees, hiring expert witnesses, and ensuring that our 2nd amendment rights cannot be infringed upon. I am not looking for a penny to keep to myself, but every bit to go towards fighting this ordinance.

Any amount helps in this fight. I know many of us 2nd amendment supporters are upset with Winchester and the political leadership down in Richmond, so this is a way you can personally fight back!
