On Tuesday, March 8th Christina Joy (Hiatt)Lawson, was healed as Jesus quietly took her from her scarred, weary body and made her brand new. In one beat of her heart, cancer was defeated as her Jesus fulfilled every promise of healing He made to her, and death was swallowed up in victory.
Christina was surrounded by her family as she raised up from this earthly life into her eternal life. At her bedside, her husband, Jason prayed a powerful prayer entrusting her into Jesus' hands. In agreement with him were their three children, her beloved parents, her brother and sister-in law, along with Christina’s mother-in-law. Within moments of Jason’s prayer her heart beat its final beat in the hospital room and began to beat again in Heaven.
Christina LOVED life! In her four-year battle with cancer, she never once agreed with death. She knew that she could never die and would spend eternity with her Savior, Jesus.
Christina enjoyed romantic dinners with Jason, homeschooling her children, writing, dancing and teaching others, leading Bible Study, sharing the gospel with family, friends and strangers, paddle boarding, and sharing long, deep, conversations with her family and many dear friends. Christina graduated from Belleview High School, worshipped at City Light Church, worked at US Hay, while teaching and sharing her love for Jesus through ballet at Dance Divine School of Ballet.
Christina has been a warrior throughout her battle with cancer and has been told many times that her faith in the midst of difficulty has encouraged others more than she will ever know. She always believed her Jesus would redeem her life and soul through a legacy of life-changing faith. Christina believed the most important job God had entrusted to her was that of helping change “eternal addresses” through the miracle of salvation.
In lei of flowers, Christina would love gifts to a school fund set up specially for her children, Jade, Colin and Hailee; who will be homeschooled by their grandparents in the near future.
