Lawrence Zubia's portrait on Tempe Memorial Mural

Donation protected
WE HAVE REACHED OUR GOAL. THERE IS NO NEED FOR FURTHER DONATIONS.

Please help fund the cost to have Lawrence Zubia's portrait added to the public mural at the Valley Rockstar Memorial in Tempe. Lawrence passed away on December 19th, 2020 while recovering from surgery on his pancreas earlier in the year.

The cost of each portrait includes artwork as created by Valley artist Gina Ribaudo, UV & Graffiti protective coatings, LED Lighting & an Engraved Granite Marker. This total cost is approximately $1,600/portrait. The homeowner is covering one-half the cost and we're asking LZ's family, friends and fans to help with the remaining $800.

Lawrence, a Phoenix native, along with his brother Mark were a large part of building the Tempe music scene of the 1990's and 2000's. LZ fronted the Chimeras, which later became Hollywood Records recording artists, the Pistoleros. I was in the audience at several of their shows and found Lawrence to be a natural entertainer. Off the stage he has been described as one of the coolest guys you'd have ever met.

We have received permission from LZ's family to create and publicly fund the cost of adding  Lawrence's portrait to the  mural. Your donation of $10, $20, any amount will be greatly appreciated and 100% will be applied to Lawrence's portrait. Please do not donate more than $50 and don't contribute if the campaign has reached its goal.
