Lawrence Mendoza Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hello all,
A co-worker of mine, Lawrence Mendoza and his wife Mona, lost their home in a devastating house fire early this morning, April 17, 2019. My company, W-Industries, and I are raising funds to help them get back on their feet.
During the night, when both he and his wife were sound asleep, they were awakened by their cat, who jumped up from the foot of their bed. Lawrence quickly realized that their home of 17 years, was on fire and he and his wife fled from the house.
Thankfully, Lawrence and Mona’s lives were spared, however, they lost everything in their home, both of their vehicles, one dog and five cats – including the cat who alerted them to danger. ☹ Two other dogs were injured and are undergoing medical treatment at the vet.
Lawrence and Mona tearfully watched their home filled with a lifetime of memories and all their possessions, go up in flames. They are now left with only the clothes on their backs. We know the family would be eternally grateful for any size donation, to assist them with their financial needs during this devastating time.
Little Girl (left) - who alerted them to danger & saved their lives - and Ike (right), both perished in the fire.
Marley, who also perished in the fire.
Taco Bell (left) and Petey (right), both survived and are undergoing treatment at the vet.
Taco Bell and Petey recovering at the vet. Both are doing great and expected to pull through!
