Help Us Lay Lawrence “Biggin” Hall, Jr. to Rest

On July 15, 2025, we lost a good man—Lawrence “Biggin” Hall, Jr.—after a long and difficult illness. While his body grew tired, his spirit never dimmed. He fought hard and stayed strong for those he loved until the very end.

Biggin was more than just family—he was the kind of person who made everyone feel like family. He had a big heart and an even bigger presence. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or only met him once, chances are you walked away with a smile, a laugh, and a story to tell. He was a gentle giant, full of kindness, always ready to lend a hand or listen when someone needed to talk.

He loved spending time outdoors and found so much peace in the woods. Turkey hunting was his absolute favorite, and he looked forward to every season with the same excitement as a kid on Christmas morning. But above all else, Biggin loved his family. He adored all the kids and never missed a chance to make them laugh or feel special. He lived simply but fully, with love at the center of everything he did.

Sadly, due to the unexpected timing of his passing, Biggin had not paid into his life insurance policy long enough for it to help cover his final expenses. This has left his family heartbroken and facing a financial burden on top of their grief.

His funeral expenses total $6,400 and will be handled through Powell Valley Funeral Home. If you are able to donate, any amount is deeply appreciated. Any donations beyond the funeral costs will go toward a headstone and covering any other unexpected final expenses.
