Hello,
My name is Anais Rocha and I am currently a 10th grader in high school. I recently received an email invitation to a summer program for Intensive Law and Trial held at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. I recently enrolled into the summer program for June-July of 2015. However, this trip costs a total of $3,295, and my father is the only parent in the workforce. Currently, I am babysitting and selling items in order to start my fundraising. I believe in hardwork and paving my own way. As I raise money myself, I am humbly grateful for your donations.
I would love to attend this program because I consistently achieve a 3.80 GPA or higher every school year, and I am a very responsible student. I was chosen to be president of a club at my school which raises money for a small learning community (within my school) that teaches students how to integrate leadership while serving communities. My teachers chose me for this leadership role because I showed responsibility, integrity, and commitment. I feel privileged that they bestowed that upon me.
Also, both of my parents did not get further than an associate's degree; however, my dad is currently taking classes to receive a BA in Business. I am the oldest of four children in my family. My ultimate dream is to become a District Attorney someday, to make my parents proud, and to be a great example to my younger siblings who are no older than four at the moment. By gaining the funds necessary and by attending this program, I will gain the experience of being in a courtroom and I will be better prepared for college and law school. This program will help mark the beginning of years in a courtroom--which to me--is one the greatest accomplishments in my life. I want to be all that I can be and by gaining this experience I will enrich my mind with the necessary knowledge to become a future lawyer. I hope to become a member in the United States Congress and this will just be the beginning of years of serving my country.
With your donations, after I have completed the summer program, I will pay it forward and help another person begin to follow his or her dreams just as you have done for me. Any donation would be greatly appreciated by my family. I thank you in advance for your donations.
