Team LaVonne says "cancer sucks"

Our dear friend LaVonne has had cancer two times, first occurring in 2007 and then experiencing an entirely different kind of breast cancer in 2021. When consulting with her Dr. about why she got two different cancers, the answer was "just bad luck".

Thankfully, she got her yearly mammogram and caught it early both times. In 2020 she had surgery and then extensive chemo for 6 months. At this time, her Dr. considers her cured!! (Get your mammograms girls!)

LaVonne said the treatment didn't scare her as she trusted the doctors and hit it head on. What did scare her was the expense. Even with insurance, these kinds of treatments are costly. She was able to negotiate with her medical providers, which helped her reduce the outstanding balances, but even after these efforts, she faces exceptional balances.

Anyone who knows LaVonne is aware that she has always been generous with her time and money to help anyone in need. We're asking all who have been the recipients of that generous sharing nature, and have been lucky enough to be her friend, as Lynnette and myself have been for many years, to please join in helping to take this burden off her shoulders. She has already undergone this tremendous struggle two times, all while still maintaining a smile on her face, never complaining and continuing to have her So Very Positive attitude!!
