Hello everyone!
First, thank you so much for taking the time to read and be here. My name is Emma and I am a Yoga teacher living in the Seacoast of New Hampshire.
Teaching and creating space for this practice is one of my greatest loves and it has been a dream of mine for many years to open a studio.
My vision is to one day create a space that is supportive, nurturing, and wildly inclusive. It is also important to me to honor the many lineages of Yoga and to explore some of the philosophies that, in many Westernized practices, are not always acknowledged. Yoga is much more than just specific postures, movements, and asanas. I want to build a safe place for people to feel seen, held, and loved-which is what I believe the gift of Yoga can be.
I was in the early stages of creating a studio plan when Covid hit us and I realized very quickly that it would not be the right time to begin this venture in a physical space-although I do hope I will one day soon.
In the meantime, I have been working on creating a nurturing online platform to offer classes and meditations and discussions. I am currently struggling in my ability to do this because of my lack of higher quality video and audio equipment, and also because I don’t have access to a large enough indoor studio space. My ceilings at home are quite short and don’t provide enough room for practice (let alone creating high enough quality video). Any support here will go towards renting space and equipment.
I truly feel that people need this practice and its support now, more than ever (myself included). This has been a really hard time and my hope is to create a little refuge to help people feel safe again.
Thank you so much for reading. I am incredibly grateful for any and all support.
XO
Emma
