Hi all, Laurie here. First off let me just tell you this is a humbling thing for me to do. I'm horrible at asking for help and feel I don't deserve it after all the mistakes I've made in my life. Every year my pastor has us pick a word for the year. This year I picked Faith so I'm going to have faith things will work out.
- I'm requesting help with bills for a month because 11 days ago a freak thing happened. I came down with bad bacterial infection and ulcer on my cornea from what the doctors say was due to wearing my contacts in a hot tub. Now it's very possible I will lose my right eye, I already have 0 vision in it and it's still 75% infected after spending 8 days at UT. They say it's one of the worst cases they have ever seen. It's unknown how long I will have to stay here and be out of work as I'm told even if they manage to save my eyes or could take weeks or months. So help to be able to pay my bills for a month would be much appreciated and I'd rest easier missing work and trying to save my eye. Although right now I don't really get to rest as I have to clean my eye every hour and put drops in it. In That's in addtion to the 4 hour runs of IV antibiotics I have every 8 hours and pills I take as well.
