.Laurie is a beautiful and vibrant woman whose life was drastically changed by what initially was thought to be a stroke.  Tests revealed a mass on her brain and doctors at Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California promptly operated and successfully removed the mass on January 24, 2017.  Unfortunately, test results came back that Laurie has a rare and very aggressive form of brain cancer known as Glioblastoma.  Laurie will start chemotherapy and radiation treatments very soon.  These treatments offer great hope to help Laurie beat back this cancer, however, she is without health insurance coverage having just started a new job (which she is very excited about!).

Laurie is a woman of deep faith and is a wonderful mother to two beautiful children.  Her daughter Lindsey is engaged to be married, and Laurie has been so excited about helping plan her daughter's wedding for this October!  Laurie's son Ryan is also very close with his mother, and is there for her on a daily basis.  Laurie's loving parents are by her side, as are many other family and friends!  Laurie has been a career professional in the produce industry for over 30 years and through those years has developed a great respect and admiration from her colleagues in the industry.
