To anyone who has received a giant hug, smile, shoulder massage or a wisecrack that makes you laugh from Laurie Serie-Zimmerman….This fun-loving, hard-working woman is the heart of many backstage at events throughout the country. Once you meet Laurie, you are her family.

IT IS TIME TO LIFT LAURIE UP.

Laurie has been quietly battling ovarian cancer (that has spread to her stomach lining) for five months. Chemo has been tough both physically and financially, but in true Laurie-style she is fighting it head-on with a smile. Laurie is now recuperating for eight weeks after having surgery this week. The cost of treatments, surgery, and lost wages are adding up, and we would love your help to raise $60,000 to offset what will be her out-of-pocket costs in her fight to kick this cancer.

Laurie has devoted her life to taking care of others – as a full-time nurse, as a sister who has sat with her siblings when sick, and as an Artist Relations manager (where you often find her pitching in where needed on things not in her job description). She has the biggest heart of anyone we know, and to ask for help during this time is not something Laurie is used to.
