Laurie Robbins Jordan Morey & family

Devastating is the only word that can be used for what the Robbins/Morey family is going through. After prolonged stomach pain, Laurie Robbins doctor put her in hospital January 5th. The same day her husband, Mike was put in hospital for vomiting and dehydration. The following day Jordan Morey (Lauries daughter and Mikes stepdaughter who resides with them) received a call that Mike had a brain bleed and blood clot on his lung and that there was nothing they could do for him. He passed Saturday, January 8th with his wife unable to be with him due to her hospitalization as well. A memorial was Jan 13th, what would have been Mikes birthday again without Laurie unable to be there.

Laurie is currently awaiting results from her biopsy. Tomorrow doctors are planning a catheterization to drain the excess fluid from her stomach. She is in pain that has yet to be completely controlled. Both Jordan and Laurie have been off work from the Moultrie County Beacon since December 23rd.

While certainly devastating emotionally, it has also taken a huge toll financially on them as well also on Lauries daughters, Katie and Danielle.
