Young Mother. Cancer. Battle Lost.
Donation protected
UPDATE - Our amazing Laurie fought a courageous battle against stomach cancer. She passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. She was 39 years old.
Her family is grateful for the outpouring of love & support, but they are in need of financial assistance. We don't usually ask for this kind of help, but want to help her 3 young children as much as possible. The funeral and medical costs are extensive. Her husband is taking time off work to be with his kids, so there is no money coming in. And she lost her life insurance policy when she went to part time (when she became sick). This is a story of how the American healthcare system does not work. She did not have health insurance because it was not affordable and by the time she qualified for Obamacare, it was too late.
Please help her family during this difficult time by donating and sharing this story. Thank you, her sister, Kirsten (Kris).
My cousin Laurie is at the end of her battle with Cancer. I am in the hospital with her as I type this. She is the Mother of three wonderful kids. All under the age of 13. Looking at her now I barely recognize her at all but I will tell you I can still see the kindest most wonderful woman I have ever met that she always has been. She truly cared for everyone in her life and never said or did anything harmful to even one single soul.
Her Father suffered nearly the same fate when she was as young as her youngest at 7. I wish I was a rich man. I wish I had powerful friends. I wish I could take all this away. All I can do is pray to God & call out to you. I have never asked for help before but I am now.
