We pay tribute to a shining star that has dimmed far too soon.

Over the past few days the outpouring of love has reinforced that Laurie Harrison was many things to many people - a strong black man, a son of Harlem, a son of Norma, a brother, a friend, a father-figure, a role model, an advisor, a student, an intellectual, an activist, a philanthropist, an artist, an entertainer, a healer, a protector and of course a Kappa Man, a Nupe's Nupe!

If you were blessed to have Laurie touch your life in any way please consider contributing to this effort as an expression of love and support for the family - to show our brother what he meant to us and that his memory will go on. All funds received will go to offset costs related to his memorial, and any overage will be presented to his family as a meaningful and tangible expression of support to provide solace and an opportunity to build an ongoing and lasting legacy for Laurie.
