My name is Annette Messina. I am donating my kidney to Laurie Brown; she is the sister of my best friend Mary for 49 years. I have known Laurie for a very long time, spent a lot of time at her house, vacations with her family, trips to the mall, and the roller skating rink. Laurie is a mother of 2 beautiful adult daughters who have blessed Laurie with grandsons. Laurie is a cook at a restaurant. Laurie has had kidney disease for many years. This year she was told by her doctors her kidney disease is now stage 4. Meaning she needs a kidney transplant by the end of this year or she will have to go on dialysis, also on a donor list. Laurie lives by herself and will have to be out of work with no income for at least 3 months. I am blessed to be able to help give her the gift of life. Any money donated will be used for Laurie to help get her through the months not being physically able to work.
