Today, June 13, 2021, my parents’ home, our beloved family home, was destroyed in a tragic house fire. Everything was lost. Thankfully, all humans were safe. The same cannot be said for my parent’s beloved pets. Sadly, two purrfect kitties and their two birds were not able to be saved. Our mother, Laurie, is devastated by these losses. If you know Laurie, you know that she would go to any length to save any animal from harm. This was so much more than a house; it was a home and a sanctuary to animals and grandkids alike. It was a home filled with many memories and so much love.

A house can be rebuilt and made into a home again. But, it won’t be easy. Our parent’s face a long road ahead of them. Beyond sifting through the wreckage and mending broken hearts, it will take time to restore what has been lost. Laurie and Raymond are extremely generous people and have been known to drop everything to help family and friends. So, we’re asking the same of you, if possible. They would never want to be a burden or cause stress for anyone. If you find yourself in place too difficult to contribute financially, prayers and support have just as much worth. If you are in a place where you can contribute and are looking for a way to help, we hope this will be an option for you. Insurance can only help so much. All donations will go toward rebuilding a home for my parents and restoring the sanctuary for their beloved animals and grandbabies.
