Hi Everyone,
My name is Samantha and I have created this go fund me account for my AMAZING TALENTED BEAUTIFUL friend and soul sister Laurice Brewer.
On August 10th, after turning just 40 years old a week prior, Laurice had a severe stroke. She has been my co-worker and friend since joining our company in 2017 as bookkeeper. Thats how I got the pleasure of knowing her.. She is the most amazing human and can keep the books straighter than straight let me tell you! lol. She has a heart of GOLD, would give you the shirt off her back, has the BEST sense of humor ever.. and I, WE all miss her terribly!
Since that day we initially were told by multiple doctors that she would never recover, never live on her own, never regain function enough to "have her life back" essentially. Well.... what a road its been since Aug 10th 2020!!
After being released from the hospital (2 weeks later) she has moved in with her Mom to start recovery. Its an absolute miracle!!. Laurice and her mom are paying for her apartment she still has during this time of recovery and she just moved home this last Sunday!! We are SO SO proud of her and the hard work she's doing everyday to get her life back!!
Laurice has a personal speech therapist from the hospital she was at that comes 1 a week and she is practicing hard everyday making amazing progress!! She and her mom could really use some support and will definitely need the financial help for more private speech sessions, rent bills and daily needs.
So if you feel inclined to help, please do!
Laurice is not working now and her disability has not come through yet either. With extra financial support Laurice will be able to get more sessions for speech, and tools to work with to help aid in her recovery this will help her Laurices recovery progress
focus on getting well and not on money!
They say that the first year is the MOST CRUCIAL for brain injuries to recover. This was such a tragic thing to have happen to SUCH a beautiful soul to anyone for that matter.... I know for a fact that she will be ever so grateful for the love and support from each and every one of you out there.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Thank you all so very much!
