Lauren’s Leukemia Treatment

On May 2nd, my close friend Lauren went to the ER for COVID-19 symptoms and was instead diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL), meaning she is currently fighting both acute myeloid and acute lymphoblastic leukemias. She was transferred the next day to the USC Norris Cancer Center in LA where she will be for the next month or so to continue chemotherapy treatments.

Because of COVID-19, she has had to be completely alone for all of this. When she went to the ER that Saturday, she had no clue she wouldn’t be returning home, let alone wouldn’t be seeing any of her loved ones (or her cat) for the next month while she battles this disease. The cancer center is also currently not accepting any packages or flowers, but please message me if you wish to send her a card! ❤️

So far, she has had several chemo treatments and the doctors say she is responding well.

The money raised from this will be used for all medical expenses not covered by her insurance, including prescriptions, and household costs while she is unable to work.

Thank you for taking the time to read, and please share/donate if you can!!!
