Hi there!
I am currently in my Senior year at Harding, and I am about to finish my second semester in Nursing school.
I have been given the opportunity to travel and serve the people of Tanzania in Africa this summer with the Harding’s College of Nursing. During the 5 week trip, we will live and work in a small village, providing support and assistance to the Chimala Mission Hospital. We all will be able to assist in surgery, deliver newborns, minister to those who are suffering with HIV/ AIDS, pursue mission efforts in the local villages and encourage the Christians of the area. Our team is made up of about 5 nursing students, our professor of nursing Ronda Reely, as well as two medical doctors and their wives who are registered nurses. This is a glorious opportunity God has given me to use my talents to be able to care for people. This has been on my heart as God's call for my life, and I wish to pursue it with great passion!
The country of Tanzania is a country of 38 million people, with a life expectancy of 40. These individuals suffer from malnutrition, parasites, HIV/AIDS, numerous tropical and water-borne diseases. It’s my hope and prayer to be able to help in a small way to ease the suffering of those who cannot care for themselves, and at the same time show them, Jesus.
Currently, each member of our team needs to raise $4,000 dollars before the end of March. This will cover travel, housing, and medical supplies for the trip. I am requesting your support financially. A gift of whatever you find in your heart to give will be much appreciated. If you would like to support me, please donate here! Or, you can definitely also make check that will be tax-deductible payable to:
