Lauren's Road to Recovery-Guillain-Barre Syndrome
Donation protected
To begin with, we cannot express how grateful we are to all of you who have called, texted, visited and prayed for Lauren and continue to do so.
My daughter Lauren had been in pain for weeks and we thought it was a pinch nerve. On May 3,2023 she was admitted to the hospital. She was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) a few days later. Her symptoms started only a few weeks before and came on rapidly. She lost complete use of her legs, arms, abdomen, and extremities. Luckily, she is receiving treatment to stop the progression of GBS any further and is on a long road to recovery.
Lauren is a mom of a 9 yerar old and a 15 year old who need their mom. Lauren has been upset knowing that at this time she cannot do the things she used to with her girls.
Lauren has worked since she graduated high-school and also manage to take on some college courses and hold down a full time job..
This has been a very difficult couple of weeks for my family and especially for my daughter. For those who know Lauren, she is one of a kind, to say the least. She has somehow maintained her quirky sense of humor. I am asking for help on her behalf because hospital bills are just the beginning of the care she is going to need. She is not able to do anything at all at this time for herself. I wish I could give her more. We are not the family that ask for handouts. We work for what we have. But at this time I am asking for financial help for her and her girls.
We thank you in advance for your help and prayers. God Bless you.
