Y'all know me as Lauren, Lo, or Train. I have grade 3, stage 2 triple-positive invasive ductile carcinoma, AKA breast cancer. We've been paying for the top tier insurance, but even with that we have an $8,000 deductible to meet. After insurance coverage, we still owe over $3,300 per chemo session (I need 6 total). Our household has been without income for over a year while my husband tries to find a job, and I have been unable to work for nearly 5 years due to preexisting, unrelated disabilities. We've been able to get by on savings, but we won't be able to afford this huge deductible on top of our already high monthly insurance costs.
